Yes, a Competent Person is required to show that your business has access to competent health and safety advice. AW Safety can act as your Named Competent Persons and provide documentation and ongoing support to help with your application process.
Your SMAS SSIP certification is valid for 12 months and should be renewed annually to ensure your business can demonstrate ongoing compliance.
The timeframe from submission to completion can vary, depending on how complete your documentation is.
